Seems things got a bit out of control here in my neck of the woods. I heard from a couple of you (loved it) and some I have been so out of touch with...I am soooo sorry...the updates just haven't been the greatest from me.

Shall I begin with the whole truth and nothin' but the truth? (lol) OK..here it comes...grab on to yur asses, it's a hell of a ride..again.....

The cancer is back. Yea, I know...what the hell happened? I don't know, but it's back again. This time around it's in 2 Lymph nodes, one by the right kidney and the other by the right lung. It has not invaded either major organ and they are thinking that with the smallness of them both and the fact that they have been caught early that they won't become invasive or aggressive.

It's not considered Lymphoma though since I had cervical cancer 8 years ago, these are the same cells as before, so it is called Advanced Malignant Cervical Cancer (big words for this I guess). Thank God for a PET Scan...that IS what has saved me thus far....the CT Scans (many of them) didn't show a thing....saw that I was "clean". WRONG! The PET Scan showed the 2 glowing nodes right fromthe start...and I am more than thankful for this...you have no idea just how thankful I really am.

I'm back at the best hospital (for me), Magee in Pittsburgh. Got the same oncologist (who, btw, had moved several years after my first round with cancer AND moved back just 6 months before my new cancer...tell me that isn't God's work in progress!!!) :) (BIG SMILES!) The man is awesome...not only the Director of the Oncology Dept., but also the Professor who instructs and helps with all of the things needed to get new treatments, cures and all of that great stuff! He IS the best and I am blessed to have him. :) (Yea, ok...I'm gushing, but seriously...who wouldn't?!)

I have enterd into a Clinical Study Trial (my own wishes) with Chemotherapy now. I will have 6 months (every 21 days of 2 types of Chemo). I will stay at the hospital overnight for the infusions and then come on back home and have blood-work done back this way to save from having to drive the 45 mins. every week. The drugs I receive are the CST Drug Taxol and the complementary drug is Cisplatin (many people receive this one). I've only had the first go of it...and it wasn't too bad...felt nothing while getting it..just some weak nausea and a few headaches the following 2 days. I can deal with that if that is all I might have..but I have a feeling it may get a little worse. That's ok though...it's a very small price to pay to get back into remission and live my life again. :)

They have me on some pretty expensive anti-nausea drugs ($1613.99 for 30 tablets!!!!) Holy Shit! lol But, they work and the insurance pays for all but 2 bucks of it...so good for me on that one. lol :)

The outlook on this is very good...as I said, it has been caught very early...everything is a go and looking good. :) Yea, I'm going to be losing my hair soon, but that is nothing of much concern really...just vanity...and I'm not that damned vane to care honestly. The only thing is will be affording the headwraps and all...they can get to be pricey with having to buy enough for the next 9 months. :( I may lose the eyelashes and eybrows...and any other hair that grows where the sun doesn't shine...but hey..no leg hair? I'm there baby! lol ;)

OK...sorry to suprise you with that...but that's what happening here with me. Not much else right now though...I don't have time for much else. Oh yes, the ex...he and the wild g/f are still up to old tricks. He lied and said he would "be there for me", but that lasted one phone call and it was over. They now make fun of me. Imagine that. Huh.

OK...gotta run...things to get done...just got home 2 days ago and it has been "sleep"onthe menu ever since...just really drained and weak right now...it'll pass. :)
